2021-2022
There was plenty of “new” to see at Western Hills High School on Thursday – from a beautiful façade to modern instructional areas to a professional-quality A/V production studio – and visitors were wowed by the changes.
It’s all part of the District’s “Rediscover Fort Worth ISD” initiative to showcase new construction at our schools as a result of the Capital Improvement Program approved by voters in 2017. When students return to in-person learning on August 16, they will also see:
- A secure, glass-enclosed entry
- Bright hallways and contemporary classrooms
- Media center and collaboration spaces
- Athletics wing with new entry
The event began with a welcome from Board of Education Trustee Dr. Michael Ryan, who was joined by fellow board members Quinton “Q” Phillips and Roxanne Martinez. FWISD Superintendent Kent P. Scribner and Western Hills HS Principal Keri Flores previewed the tours for the eager audience.
Here is a video and photo gallery of the welcome ceremony and tours.
