Your Cougars competed in the District Championship and came away with some hardware!

Aaliyah Ruiz won 2nd place in the 119lb weight class and Carlos Aguinaga took 3rd in the 106 lb weight class. They will both be competing this coming weekend in the Regional Championships in Frisco.

We have had a short and fast season this year with some good success. We have returning District Champion senior Aaliyah Ruiz at 119lbs headed to the district tournament seeded number 1 as well as new comer Carlos Aguinaga at 106 pounds with a record is 12-3 fighting for a chance at regionals. Senior Chris Howard at 170 lbs has a tough road ahead of him with some hard competition in his bracket. This year has taught us to adapt to every challenge and remember to focus on where we want to be rather than where we were yesterday.
