Please congratulate Keyon Butler, Foy Ellis, RJ Moilan, and Logan Wagner for earning honors on the Boys Track Academic All-State Team. Each of these young men has maintained a grade point average of 92 or above throughout their high school career.

Last Thursday, May 11th Aaron Martin competed in the 4A Boys 100-meter dash. He placed 6th in the race with a time of 10.69. He completed his high school track season as the District and Area Champion in the 100-meter dash. Aaron also is the school record holder in the 100-meter dash with a time of 10.54.
On Friday and Saturday, the boys and girls track team competed in the Region II 4A Track and Field Championships in Commerce, TX. In her first regional track meet, Abby Moilan placed 6th in the Shot Put. Also competing in his first regional track meet, Trishtan Willis placed 7th in the 110-meter hurdles, setting a personal record with a time of 15.59. Aaron Martin placed 3rd in the 100-meter dash with a time of 10.73 earning a spot to compete in the State Track Meet on Thursday, May 11th. He had the fastest 3rd place time out of all 4 regions and qualified as the wildcard.
Yesterday, the boys and girls track team competed in the Area Track and Field Championships at Kennedale High School, setting 7 personal records.
The boys got things rolling with a 3rd place finish in the 4 x 100-meter relay and 1st place in the 100-meter dash with Aaron Martin.

The varsity boys and girls track team completed day 2 of competition in the 9-4A District Track and Field Championships yesterday at Clark Stadium, setting eight personal records. The girls' team finished third in the team standings. The boys' team dominated the meet, scoring 216 points and bringing home the 9-4A District Championship.
The 4 x 100-meter relay team of Armani Perry-Brown, Aaron Martin, Kaream Williams, and Kemarrius Mayes got things started with a 1st place victory and setting a new school record with a time of 42.54. Aaron Martin set a new school record in the 100 meter dash with a time of 10.57, breaking the old school record he previously held of 10.82. The boys' team also got 1st place in the 4 x 200 meter and 4 x 400 meter relays.
I want to give a huge shout out to the track coaching staff of Coach Pritchett, Coach Maehs, Coach Foster, and Coach Sutton. Without them, none of the success the athletes are achieving would be possible.
