2020-2021

I would like to congratulate the Tennis Team for Great Regional Tournament play. The team won the 1^st round and advanced to the second round where they faced teams ranked in the top 5 of the state. They showed we belong at those top levels and fought to the end. The Tennis Team had a great year by winning the Fall District and Bi-District Championship and Spring District Champs in their Divisions.

  

I would like to congratulate the JV Tennis team for a great finish to their season and because they played in a 5A JV District tournament because our 4A District did not field any JV Teams.

I would like to congratulate Jaineel Patel and Jorge Urbina for winning Gold Medals for Boys Doubles and Nick Goodman for winning a Silver Medal for Boys Singles play. We also had Nate Hernandez & Amaria Cooper win Gold in Mixed Doubles.  These students will advance to Regionals in Lubbock, Texas.

I would also like to congratulate Leslie Gonzalez and Janet Romero for winning Bronze Medals in Girls Doubles, Areli Nunez for winning a Bronze Medal for Girls Singles, and Angel Ortiz and Nicole Padron for winning Bronze in mixed doubles. The whole team played a great tournament.

  

Congratulations to Nick Goodman for winning a Bronze Medal. The only thing that kept him from winning Silver was lightning. I am proud of the whole team even though they were given a tough draw against some of the best 5A and 6A teams. The team is now prepared to play in the 4A District Play-Offs.
