We will play at Argyle High School against Decatur, at 5 pm.
Jessica Alonzo is one of our Seniors. She is an amazing softball player, but an even greater human being. The set of pictures of her at home shows it all..Many times a player would have run over the catcher. Jessica was more concerned about the other girl. Then later a girl batting started to breakdown emotionally and Jessica was quick to console her. I am so proud of her!!! The others are just a couple pictures of the team. The Lady Cougars defeated the Carter Riverside Eagles tonight 17-0. Making us 3-1 in district.
Offensively the team was led by freshman, Alyana Cortez, with a double and triple! Lauren Beckham had a single! Gisele Castoreno and Yadira Martinez laid down great bunts. The girls were quite aggressive on bases.
Defensively the team was led by Lauren Beckham striking out 11 of the 13 batters she faced, pitching a no hitter.
We play Benbrook at home Thursday night at 6pm.
Your Lady Cougars are 1-0! Great win for your Lady Cougars!! Lauren Beckham pitched a great game and had her first homerun of the season. Freshman Alyana Cortez was 2 for 2 with a double.
