Freshman Abby Moilan competed at regionals on Wednesday and finished in 5th place.

Abby had a total of 740
Squat 290
Bench 140
Deadlift 310

She has had a great year and has only grown stronger and stronger.

Note added by Admin: Coach Rock has been coaching powerlifting at Western Hills for 12 years and has consistently taken kids to regionals and states over the years.

Congratulations to Abby Moilan who, at her last meet, has qualified for Girls Regionals on March 2nd.  Abby has had a great season so far and at this last meet at Fossil Ridge she squatted 300 pounds, benched 140, and finished with a Deadlift of 300. 

She will compete next at Gainesville on March 2^nd at 1pm for Region 6 Div 4 Large school and have a shot at the state championship.  

Last night, the Lady Cougars went to Timber Creek and took first place.  Abby Molian took 1^st in her weight class and finished with a 715 total. She lifted a huge 290 pound squat, 135 pound bench and 285 deadlift. 

Abby is improving with each meet and has two meets left to go.  Our next meet is on February 9^th at Keller Fossil Ridge.

WHHS hosted Dunbar, South Hills, Polytechnic and OD Wyatt. All teams did a great job participating with some strong lifts.

Western Hills was led by RJ Moilan who took first in the 275 weight class with a 1075 total.

Kheavan Johnson took 3rd in the same weight class.

Javares Hamilton took first in the 148 class with a big 315 squat and 815 total.

The team also had Marcos Guiterrez and Keon Butler who took 1st and 5th in the 220 weight class. The team had a strong start and are looking forward to an exciting year of powerlifting.
