VARSITY
The Varsity Football Team lost a hard fought game to Trimble Tech on Thursday, November 3rd. Final score was 45-43. The final Varsity record was 4-6. While this is not where we want to be, this was the best Varsity record in the last 5 years.
The future of the program is bright. There were 33 seniors on this years football team. This is a testament to these young men. In their previous three years as high school students, they had seen a total of 2 varsity wins. It would have been easy for them to quit and not want to be a part of a "losing" team. They gutted it out, fought through the ridicule and negativity, and believed that WE were building something here. For the past two years, we have been talking about building a foundation for this football program. Although the season didn't go exactly as we wanted, these 33 seniors have helped to put the walls up. Next year, we hope to add the roof!
