2021 Season

Football is trying to do some things different for the last six weeks of school.  We are really trying to get focused back on our number two goal for our program.  That goal is "Be a good person".

We have implemented some point systems into place and we are really focusing on a "reward not punish" mindset. The majority of our kids do the right thing. We are going to focus on those kids. 

At the same time, if they are not doing the right thing, points will be deducted from their team for any emails I get from teachers. So please, if they are not acting right, let me know.  Hold that over their heads. Freshman football players will be put into groups and learn about this competition when we return from Spring Break. 

At the same time, the opposite is true as well; points are given for good emails from teachers as well. 

By the way, our number one goal is not about football.  Our number one goal is to graduate high school!

Today, we had our first non-athletic competition with our spelling bee. Today's spelling bee champion was Abril Moses.

Some of our guys got an opportunity to play football over the weekend in San Antonio.  They played two games against teams from Canada.  The experience was much more important than the games.   Here are the seniors that had the opportunity to play.
